The heat on Comtec machines has nothing to do with spreading the dough but everything to do with helping the dough to release from the Forming Dies. If one or all of the Heating Elements on a machine fail, you will have dough sticking issues. There are two Heating Elements in a Model 1100. There are four Heating Elements in a Model 2200 and four elements in a Model 2900.

Heating Elements are ordered individually. Which Heating Element to order depends what teh operating voltage of your machine is.
